We have almost come to the end of an eventful year and as we embark upon the new decade, let’s see which Rock Records stood out and left a lasting impression on the listeners. 2010 just featured one Rock Artist “Train” with “Hey Soul Sister” in Billboard Top 10 so commercially it’s been one of the worst year for Rock Music but there were lot of good records making it difficult to select the Top 10.

ReplyDeleteJonsi shud be right up at no 1.
ReplyDeleteno denying his brilliance and audacity to bring to life some weird drum beats.. but very very engaging and eventually took me to a very ecstatic feeling... his vocals .. no need to say abt that i guess.. top notch as usual.. i wud rate the Album a brilliant 4.5/5!
favourites.. Go, Hengilas, Boy Lillikoi.. Tornado..
@Hashir: Great to finally find my Sigur Ros fans but Jonsi on his own couldn't produce the same charm that his band mates did. HE IS EXCELLENT but I would prefer 'Sigur Ros' to 'Jonsi' anyday. But his album was musically very sound, that's why he is on the list.
ReplyDeleteSigur Ros and Jonsi as artists are very different.. Sigur ros fills the Room... i mean the bass, his voice.. Ah. after every song it still keeps u searching and asking for more..
ReplyDeleteWhereas Jonsi along with his mate has delivered a very musically different album.. Very Vibrant! when u listen to the start of "Go" it reminds me of spring time.. where everything is blooming beautifully :)
how many times has a an Artist from a band been able to deliver something worth mentioning.?
Even Brandon Flowers did an album.. except for two songs i dont think the rest is even worth wasting ur space on the pod.
so fr that brilliance i salute that guy! JONSI!
still Sigur Ros > Jonsi .. i agree :)
btw did u catch 'New Piano Song'?
Yes, I did download it for FREE !!! (from the main site of course).
